In the Insider Preview, the Settings app often crashes

In the latest Insider Preview build, the Settings app frequently crashes when opening Settings → System.

I have tried clearing the Settings cache, restarting File Explorer, and other methods, but the issue persists, severely affecting system configuration operations.

    This sounds more like an Insider build issue than a normal Settings cache problem. Insider Preview builds can have app crashes, and Microsoft has listed Settings-related crashes as known issues in some preview builds before, so I would first check the release notes for your exact build and channel.

    In short, if Settings only started crashing after the latest Insider Preview update, it is likely a build regression rather than something you can fully fix locally.

    Hi, on an Insider build this may be a real regression, but I would still try a Settings app reset first. Open PowerShell as admin and repair system files with DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and sfc /scannow. Also test with a new local user profile, because Settings crashes can be profile-specific. If it still crashes on the same build, file it in Feedback Hub with the build number and crash details.
