    I have encountered the same problem as you. There are many audio formats, and the devices do not support them all. In the end, AudioKes helped me convert audio (flac) to mp3, It converts fast without losing quality. I still use it regularly!

Hey, I was just like you before, I wanted to convert a bunch of audio files to MP3, but it took me a long time to find a reliable method. Indeed, many online MP3 converters have ridiculously many advertisements, slow upload speeds, and privacy issues are really worrying. I tried several methods and summarized three super safe and practical MP3 conversion methods, I hope it will be helpful to you!

Method 1: Convert with Fmmpeg command line tool (Professional MP3 Converter)
FFfmpg is a powerful open source tool. Although it uses the command line, it is very powerful and supports the conversion of almost all audio formats.

Steps:

1. Download and install FFfmpg
2. Open the terminal (Command Prompt or PowerShell) and enter the following command to convert the audio:

fffmpg -i input.wav -vn -ar 44100 -ac 2 -b:a 192k output.mp3

3. input.wav is the file you want to convert, and output.mp3 is the output MP3 file.
4. You can adjust the bitrate (-b:a) and sampling rate (-ar) as needed.

Although it is a command line tool, FFfmpg has a very fast conversion speed, especially suitable for batch processing. You can easily convert a whole folder of audio with one command.

 

Method 2: Use Windows built-in features (hidden version of MP3 Converter)
If you are using Windows 11, the built-in Groove Music and Video Editor can actually help convert mp3 formats.

  1. Operation steps (Video Editor method):
  2. Open the "Photos" app, click "New Video > Automatic Video" and add your audio file (treat the audio as a video).
  3. Click "Finish Video" in the upper right corner and select the export format as MP4.
    After the MP4 file is exported, use Windows Media Player or the system's built-in tool to extract the audio and save it as MP3.

Real experience:
Although this method is a little roundabout, it does not require any additional mp3 converter software and there is no need to worry about privacy issues.

Method 3: Use Audcity (Professional Free MP3 Converter)
If you need more features, such as batch mp3 converter or adjusting sound quality, you can try Audcity. This is an open source audio editing tool that supports various format conversions and is very powerful!

  3. Import your audio file (supports WAV, M4A, FLAC and other formats).
