I want to ask Microsoft, why are there abnormal in the file history logs after these two updates?
Exactly , last time I ran into this exact same File History log glitch on my desktop right after those cumulative updates dropped. What worked for me Completely resetting the underlying File History engine rather than waiting on a patch. Here is step by step guide.
Open File Explorer, go to C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\FileHistory, and delete everything inside the Configuration folder. Next, go into Settings , System , Storage, turn File History off, and then re add your D drive back as the backup target.
Windows will rebuilt the catalog from scratch, which immediatelly fixed the frozen timestamp and restored the right click Previous Versions context menu on my setup.
This is my feedback hub report:
Please click to view, second, or provide feedback. You can also view the file history. After updating from Windows 11 KB5124010/Windows 10 KB5120249 to Windows 11 KB5127648/Windows 10 KB5126657, the backup drive can be found and executed in the "File History," but the last backup date of the files has not changed. If you encounter the same problem as me, you can submit feedback here. You can ask others if they have the same problem and ask them to second or add feedback to my feedback hub.
