OpenAI yanking those models so quickly suggests they’re acutely aware that breaking the “glow” also breaks their ability to easily flag synthetic content. It’s the generative equivalent of disabling the forced restart button—suddenly you can’t tell if the phone is truly dead or just running an unfiltered OS.
