I can’t connect to Wi-Fi

Hello fellow Windows Insiders,

I hope you're all doing well. I've run into a rather perplexing issue with my Windows 11 setup, and I'm hoping someone here can provide some guidance.

Problem: I can't seem to find the Wi-Fi option in Windows 11. It's like it disappeared out of thin air. I've scoured the settings, but it's nowhere to be found.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

  • Network reset
  • Using netsh commands
  • Flushing DNS
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling network driver
  • Adding legacy hardware
  • Scanning for legacy hardware
  • Disabling and reenabling the driver
  • Running the sfc command line tool

Despite trying these methods, the Wi-Fi option is still nowhere to be found. I'm at a loss here and not sure what to do next. I rely on Wi-Fi for most of my work and activities, so this is quite a critical issue for me.

If anyone has experienced a similar problem or has any suggestions on how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate your input. Please feel free to share your thoughts and ideas on how I can get my Wi-Fi option back.

Thank you in advance for your help. Let's work together to solve this mystery!

Hi, is this a laptop? Is it a desktop with a wifi adapter? Was it working before? For how long? Is it gone after a recent update? Do you mean that you cannot even find the switch to turn wifi on, or the switch doesn't even show up? Finnaly, when you run this command: "netsh wlan show interfaces" what does it pump out?
    This is what mine says:

There is 1 interface on the system:

    Name : Wi-Fi
    Description : Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9461
    GUID : 1e713bd8-002d-436c-b78f-ed970e62e3ef
    Physical address : 28:12:a8:6b:9e:4f
    Interface type : Primary
    State : disconnected
    Radio status : Hardware On
    Software On

Hosted network status : Not available

    Hello,
Have you tried to download the wireless NIC drivers from the OEM's website?
