I am confused about this subscription offer.

I am confused about this subscription deal. I recently purchased a personal copy of Word 365 for $69 US, and I save my files on my WD external hard drives. I haven't come across any information about needing to renew it annually.

    However, it's possible that you might be confusing this with Microsoft 365 subscriptions, which are monthly or annual plans that include access to Office apps like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as additional features like cloud storage and support.

    Your Microsoft 365 subscription must be renewed annually to continue using Word. Alternatively, you may have purchased a one-time purchase version of Office 2024 Home and Student, which does not require renewal.
