How to set the display bit depth to 10-bit in Windows 10

When connecting a 10-bit monitor to a GTX 1070 graphics card via a DP 2.0 cable, the bit depth option in Windows 10 Display Settings or the NVIDIA Control Panel only shows 8-bit and does not allow selection of 10-bit. Please provide the complete configuration path to enable 10-bit output and the necessary prerequisites to verify.

10-bit color is only supported on Intel integrated graphics via HDMI and not Display Port. You can set in the command until. Just finding this out after buying a new monitor.

Confirm your monitor supports 10-bit color (often listed as "Deep Color" or similar in specs). Ensure the monitor’s firmware is up to date.
