How to Set a Default Input Method
I have added Japanese language support to my system in addition to UK English, as I develop software that requires translation. I have configured the keyboard to the UK Extended layout for UK English...
Click on UK English (or the language you want to adjust), and then click on Options. In the Keyboards section, ensure that UK Extended is listed. If it's not listed, you can add it by clicking on Add a keyboard and selecting the correct keyboard layout.
