How to low down the usage of vcore for Intel i7 CPU
1. Contingency plan to quickly reduce CPU usage
End high load processes:
Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager.
Sort CPU columns in “Processes” tab
Right-click on the abnormal process → End Task
2. Enable power saving mode:
Click on the battery icon in the taskbar → select “Optimal Energy Efficiency”.
Or go to: Settings > System > Power > select “Energy Saver”.
3. System level optimization settings
Adjust the power plan (recommended)
Open Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options
Select/create an energy saving plan → Click “Change plan settings”
4. Modify:
Processor Power Management → Maximum state is set to 80-90%
System Cooling Method → Change to “Passive”.
5. Disable background applications:
Settings > Privacy > Background Apps
Disable permission to run non-essential apps
