How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?

    The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.

    Please bring back never combine and the title of the apps, the way it is now is killing productivity for no clear reason.

    I have been using Windows 11 for several months now and really hoped I would get used to the latest environment, but unfortunately not ...
    Microsoft, PLEASE BRING BACK "Do not combine" option ASAP !!!!

      There is a new app called Windhawk, which 

      1. Adds don't combine feature to windows 11 taskbar (and not changing taskbar to win10 mode, like explorer patcher)

      2. Don't mess with other windows 11 features (if not turned on)

      3. Free and open source

      4. From very reliable developers who work on such things for a long time (7taskbartweaker creator)

      I am not affiliated with the project. I was just furious about absence of this feature and couldn't work with windows 11 while it was a requirement for my work. I didn't like AllIsBack and Explorer patcher. This Windhawk just saves.

    It's been 2 years and Microsoft hasn't patched this bug. What are they doing now?

      After 2 years windows 11 is still in beta.
      Not in release before never combine and labels are fixed.
      Stick with windows 10 until then. 🙂

    huali1405 Please try out ExplorerPatcher (you can find it on GitHub) it allows you to modify the Windows 11 taskbar to look exactly like Windows 10 and more pretty easily. With it, you can select Always Combine, Never Combine or Combine When Taskbar Is Full

    This feature has to come back.  Productivity goes down by hundreds of percent like this.  Sticking with windows 10 on my old PC for now.

    It is a pain having to use ExplorerPatcher or StartAllBack just to have a functional taskbar. Please restore the Never Combine feature.

      sagenoob7777 It got to be a joke.
      The very essence of Windows is....... having windows.... and to swap fast inbetween them for efficiency .....
      And they removed half of that. Hilarious.
