How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
- Jul 30, 2024The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.
NickP2020 I personally liked at least one aspect of Windows Vista - namely, the Sidebar. An always discreet desktop area with nice gadgets. Along with all the other QoL features like "never combine", this needs to make a comeback as well. Widescreen is the norm now, and how many of us are really using all the horizontal space unless we've documents side-by-side? Microsoft seems obsessed with copying the worst aspects of their competitors: Google's poor UI design and disregard for user privacy, Apple's lack of customization and straightforward file management, and so on.
Please readd the "Never combine" option, having to make 2 clicks every time , plus having to search the right window is very unproductive. With the "never combine" you could mentally remember the position of the window you want to use and click directly on it. The current way in Windows 11 is less productive.
