How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
- Jul 30, 2024The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.

If I was your head of engineering and I had to use Windows 11, I would make you fix this instantly. I would have an army of angry engineers at my side ready to fix it. I can't believe anyone who is using Windows to develop more Windows would ignore this issue for long.
Windows versions I have skipped because they had bad UI design choices:
Windows ME
Windows Vista
Windows 8
Windows 11 (for now!)
As a decision maker for my own engineering org, I can tell you that you won't get ~50 users of Windows 11 until you sort it out and I'll be actively campaigning our global techops division to do the same.
If you are reading down this far, try to help out by liking other posts in this thread, maybe we can elevate this into back into MS's view!

Of course, this thread is a top spot – it's visible, but currently Insider versions don't have this feature – so Microsoft isn't working to improve it!
Windows10 - will be supported until October 2025 -.>new computers have only Windows11 - I think Windows12 can fix it, I hope so!
