How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
- Jul 30, 2024The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.
I know some of you don't want to use 3rd party software or are restricted by company policy. But until Microsoft brings the feature back, there is little choice.
One of the reasons most of us use Windows is because of it versatility including the ability to install 3rd party software for all kinds of purposes.
You use Photoshop because MS paint doesn't have the features you need.
The same principle applies here. A feature you need is gone. And there are some 3rd party solutions available.
If your company does not allow 3rd party software, you can put in a request to try to get them to approve this. (citing productivity loss) Worth a try.
So if you can, don't deny yourself a temporary fix until Microsoft gets their act together. And by all means keep pressuring Microsoft.
I use Explorer Patcher and OpenShell. A killer combo in my opinion.
