How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
- Jul 30, 2024The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.
The way I prefer to pressure Microsoft is to not use their OS if it lacks what i personally deem to be a core productivity feature.
Until windows 11 has the ungroup option or until windows 10 support ends, then i'll just keep using win10.
Comparing MSpaint to photoshop actually serves no real purpose to this discussion. MSpaint has never claimed to be a powerhouse application for image manipulation. In fact it has largely remained unchanged with the occasional feature ADDED.
"Added" is the key word here.
In the win11 ungroup taskbar issue, microsoft have removed a feature from their OS that people actually used.
I could have used a different example but that not the point.
My point is that Windows is very versatile such that someone always comes up with fixes to problems.
And you should take advantage of them instead of suffering through slow productivity while you patiently wait for a first party solution that may or may not come.
Of course you also have the option to stick to Windows 10 or another OS. That's all fine.
