How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
- Jul 30, 2024The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.

Why is microsoft doing this?
1) You are trying to become apple? I would rather go to apple then cuz you're doing a bad job and you're like 10 years too late to do so.
2) You are trying to be minimalistic? Am i using money to buy a product from you that i dont like? Is this product for me or is it for you?
3) It was a choice in win10, and not it is not. What is with this regression?
4)Is it because you're creating some job for some moron that doesnt deserve to be there? or does he/she think its the new trend for the new gen which most of them havnt even reach a level that makes a difference in your company shares because ill be taking my money over to apple since your foresight is hindered due to a one track mind.
- Rich5555Jul 27, 2022Iron ContributorI think these comments are best addressed to Microsoft rather than to the members of this tech support forum who came looking for the way to activate this pretty essential personalisation option, only to find that Windows11 has omitted it.
- CassRTAug 01, 2022Iron ContributorI am happy to voice my complaint to Microsoft, but I don't know how to contact them. Do you have an email for such a complaint? I hoped that some of the Microsoft OS designers might read these comments and forward the information to their boss.

ZDNET officially recommends four solutions if "https://www.zdnet.com/article/i-hate-windows-11-how-can-i-make-it-work-more-like-windows-10-ask-zdnet/?ftag=TRE7ce1dc9&bhid=%7B%24external_id%7D&mid=%7B%24MESSAGE_ID%7D&cid=%7B%24contact_id%7D". Explorer Patcher is its first suggestion and Open Shell is the second one. They are both free, I have both installed on my PC (day 1 of the installation) and I enjoy a Win7-like interface and a pure Win 10 taskbar functionality
