How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
- The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.
Adding my voice to the people who hate this new 'feature'. I've been on Win11 for a week with a new work laptop and it's slowing me down so much. I need 3 Outlook boxes open and now I can't tell which has an email, but if I leave them open there's no header to tell me which one I'm currently in. I'm also missing calendar pop-ups since they're combining with Outlook so I can't tell if I have a meeting, and I can't drag-and-drop the PDFs I work with all day unless I keep my windows smaller than full sized and offset the email I'm dragging it to. Since it's a work computer I can't even add a 3rd party app to fix it. At least now I know not to upgrade on my personal laptop. Looks like Win11 is going to be this generation's WinME.
