How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
- Jul 30, 2024The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.
"As for features like separate taskbar buttons and changing the location of the taskbar, Microsoft reportedly see legacy features, like those, as unimportant, and whilst not ruled out for future releases, they won't be prioritised/worked on in any meaningful way for the foreseeable future."
is true, then one should really not waste time on Win11.

MindOfBrianna03 "If I recall correctly, Microsoft officials confirmed it via Feedback Hub, and it has been reported on by known technology news outlets regarding the "Drag 'n' Drop" being brought back in Windows 11 Update 1 (22H2). It is unfortunate for those who like these features (aside from "Drag 'n' Drop", neither get used by me) and change is scary but necessary. Sometimes you sadly lose out. That's life really. I hope this clarification helps the picture."
As you are not an official Microsoft representative, I very much hope you are wrong. Your "clarification" if true, shows that Microsoft cares nothing about the end user. You are the first person that has posted here that they prefer having everything grouped over having it separate. There is absolutely no reason why Microsoft shouldn't give people the choice (and I honestly think unseparated should be the default because I believe that is what the majority of people prefer.) - WaseemAhmedMay 06, 2022Copper Contributor

The solution is here: https://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/Explorer-Patcher-for-Windows-11.shtml
You get all the properties of the good old Win10 taskbar, including of course the "never combine" feature.
Simple, stable, and free. Don't want it ? simply uninstall.
