How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
- The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.
I can't believe that Microsoft took away the ability to make their OS quicker to use. Having to go through extra clicks to open a window is such a waste of time, and you have to do it every time! Why can't you just keep the option hidden on a menu? There are so many features which only exist for people who find and use them, this should be the same.
If we wanted a infantilizing, over-curated user experience we'd use iOS. Windows is supposed to be the alternative to that. Let us keep our control. Especially when it directly affects our productivity.
