How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
- Jul 30, 2024The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.
Agreed on this:
So make sure you first go to the Microsoft Feedback Hub (it's installed in Windows, search for it in your start menu) and submit a complaint there.
Also be sure to upvote the existing complaint https://aka.ms/AAeyt69
It's currently one of the top suggestions being made, which is good.
The more attention we can give to the problem on the Microsoft Feedback Hub, the better, so before writing another complaint here, make sure you complain there. Actually it would be good to keep this post visible to others so maybe don't reply in here anymore as it won't accomplish anything, but just visit the link above.
Hi Everyone,
I assure you that the Microsoft Team is working and looking into all feedback on the forums and in the feedback hub.
These forums what I believe are for others to come and ask questions to get help on technical issues which can be solved.
There is a lot of code and a lot of recording that needs to be done to get all feedback done to be working for all users.
Which will be localized, working with 3rd party apps, in control panel/settings, different localization like French, English so on, ways to get this done through Voice access and all the accessibility.
Also, the feedback is being sent to the feedback hub team which gets send to the team who is allocated to the taskbar team. Which is in turn coded, tested internally then to preview then to stable.
The first place to send feedback is through Feedback Hub and the feedback options on Microsoft Apps.
I have seen news online that they are bringing back the folders and drag/drop back to Windows 11, remember they are trying to make all thing in Windows modern and new.
It still has a lot of legacy stuff that has be carefully recoded to work with new/old programs, such as the new taskbar was made on a newer code which didn't support non combine yet.
Patience will have its worth when its done, it will be even better than you have imagined, such as my suggestion on Bing for desktop and so on...
If you really want it back, install Explorer patcher or go back to Windows 10 and wiat for future updates.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
Shawn
Where is the fix for this? Pages and pages and pages and pages of comments and complaints due to a fundamental change to a basic part of this Windows user interface and still there isn't a fix for this?

That link doesn't work. Just opens to a page saying a hub will open but nothing happens.
