How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
- Jul 30, 2024The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.

NEVER COMBINE, SHOW LABELS. I can't believe this. I'm a software developer and often have multiple instances of my IDE open, and I need to be able to see which window is which. Why on earth do they think crippling basic usability features is a good idea?

I'll bet real US dollars they are all on 15"-17" laptops. Working in a single screen small environment. The idea of a 32" ultra wide as your 2nd & 3rd monitors is a luxury only the ultra wealthy there can even conceive of.
Its just not in their universe of conceivability to think how people with larger monitors even work.
