How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?
- The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.
I have a super wide monitor on my desktop so I can have multiple windows open at the same time and go between them. Not being able to stop combining the taskbar icons is a real time waster when trying to switch between windows. I have tons of space on the taskbar to show multiple windows, but I can't use it because the icons are combined. This is ridiculous, and a detriment to multitasking and switching between windows. Bring this feature back!
