How to fix iPhone mirroring timed out connecting issue on mac

Check Router Settings, forgetting Wi-Fi, and resetting Mac’s Bluetooth module are advanced methods to fix iPhone mirroring timed out connecting.

Step 1: Check Your Router Settings

  • Some routers block AirPlay traffic. Please check the following settings:
  • AP Isolation — Disabled
  • Guest Network — Do not use a guest network
  • Multicast — Should be enabled

Step 2 : Forget Wi-Fi & ReconnectBoth 

devices:

  • Forget the Wi-Fi network
  • Restart both devices
  • Reconnect to Wi-Fi

Step 2 : Reset Mac's Bluetooth Module

  • Shift + Option + click the Bluetooth icon in menu bar
  • Click Reset Bluetooth module.

These steps resolve router-level and connectivity conflicts, and can effectively fix iPhone mirroring timed out connecting for stubborn mirroring issues.
