You can manually Delete Cache Files via Finder if you are wondering how to clear cache on Mac. The most direct way to clear cache without any additional software is to manually delete cache folders using Finder.
How to clear cache on Mac:
1. Open Finder
2. In the menu bar, click Go → Go to Folder (or press Shift + Command + G)
3. Type ~/Library/Caches and press Enter
4. A folder will open showing cache subfolders for various apps
5. Review the folders and delete cache folders for apps you recognize
6. Drag unwanted folders to Trash, then empty the Trash
To also clear system-level caches (requires admin access) :
Press Shift + Command + G in Finder
2. Type /Library/Caches and press Enter
3. Delete only cache folders you recognize—avoid deleting unknown system folders
Important safety note: Always back up your Mac or use Time Machine before deleting core system cache folders . Sticking to ~/Library/Caches is safer than deleting system-level caches.
