How to clear cache on iphone to free up more space
iPhone doesn't have a built-in feature for clearing app and browser caches. If you are looking for a simple way to do this, then below is a well crafted guide to show you how to free up massive free space on iPhone.
This question isn’t related to the Windows Insider Program, but here’s what I’d suggest.
Unlike Android, iOS doesn’t have a single Clear Cache button for all apps. The best place to start is Settings > General > iPhone Storage, where you can see what’s actually using your storage and review Apple’s recommendations.
Some of the most effective ways to free up space are:
- Clear Safari history and website data if you don’t mind removing cached browsing data.
- Delete old Messages attachments under Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Messages.
- Remove downloaded content from streaming apps such as YouTube, Netflix, or Spotify if you no longer need it.
- If an app doesn’t provide a cache-clearing option, you can Offload or reinstall it to reclaim storage, although offloading doesn’t necessarily remove all cached data.
A factory reset is rarely necessary. Also, I’d avoid third-party “iPhone cleaner” apps that claim to clear all caches, since iOS doesn’t allow apps to access and clean other apps’ cache data.
If you’re trying to free up the remaining 5 GB on your iPhone 13, Settings > General > iPhone Storage is usually the best place to identify what’s consuming the most space before deleting anything.
