Clearing cache on iPhone can be achieved through various methods, and one of them is using the Offloading feature. This process involves clearing the app cache while also removing any unused data or resources associated with the app.
To clear cache on iPhone via Offloading:
- Go to the Settings app.
- Select General.
- Scroll down and tap on iPhone Storage.
- You will see a list of all installed apps on your device. Look for the app for which you want to clear cache on iPhone.
- Tap on Offload App. This will remove the app from your device and free up storage space. However, if you want to keep the app's data intact, you can instead choose Offload App & Data, which will remove the app but keep its associated data.
- Once the app is offloaded, you can reinstall it from the App Store. This will re-download the app and its data, but the cache will be cleared.
Note: The Offloading feature is not the same as deleting an app. Offloading an app does not remove its data, but instead, it removes the app's binary code and frees up storage space. However, if you reinstall the app, it will re-download the binary code, and the data will also be re-downloaded if you chose to keep it during offloading.
