How to Change GPS Location on Android Phone?
- Sep 06, 2024
I had this need before, and AnyGo solved it! (https://www.gicmodo.com/change-gps-location) No root is required, the operation is very simple, just select the location and you can change it. I have used it several times, the effect is good, no problems occurred, I recommend you to try it!
I am agreed with Mr. Proker, and with my experience you can also do some other tricks:
To change the GPS location on your Android phone, there are a few effective methods that don’t require rooting your device and are generally safe. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
1. Enable Developer Options
First, go to Settings > About Phone, then tap Build Number seven times to activate Developer Options.
In Developer Options, find the option for Select mock location app—this lets you use apps to set a virtual GPS location.
2. Use a Location Spoofing App
Download a reputable app like Fake GPS Location from the Google Play Store. Once installed, go back to Developer Options and choose this app as the mock location provider.
In the app, you can choose your desired location, and it will override your real GPS data for any app that requests location information.
3. Using a VPN with Location Services (Optional)
Some VPNs come with location spoofing capabilities, especially those designed for privacy. While they mainly change your IP location, this can sometimes work well in combination with a GPS spoofing app.
Example:
Let’s say you're traveling to Illinois and need to locate a gas station. You could set your GPS location to Illinois to preview https://gasolineracercademe.com/illinois/ in advance or see navigation options from where you’ll be. This is helpful if you're checking prices or hours before arrival.
Make sure to turn off any location spoofing when you’re done, as leaving it active could impact other apps that use your actual GPS data.
