I had this need before, and AnyGo solved it! (https://www.gicmodo.com/change-gps-location) No root is required, the operation is very simple, just select the location and you can change it. I have used it several times, the effect is good, no problems occurred, I recommend you to try it!
Rooting your Android phone to change GPS location sounds cool, but root can sometimes go sideways.
