How long does it take for a fix in Dev channel to apply in Release in Windows 11

Hello,

My Windows 11 experienced some IME bug about which I sent feedback to MS. The kind and hardworking engineers replied and said they **made a change in a Dev channel build** released in this Sept.

My question is: after all this long wait, can anybody tell me how long does it take for a fix in dev channel to apply in release in Windows 11? People around me are complaining about this bug all-day and all I can tell them is to wait more 😞

  • Can you share us what is the exact issue, or the screenshot of your feedback. What is the current build you're on?

      I'm on version 21H2, OS build 22000.348

The issue I mentioned earlier is problem related to Microsoft Pinyin IME (new version in Windows 11), which would cause explorer.exe (and likely also the whole Windows OS) to crash. https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2021/09/02/announcing-windows-11-insider-preview-build-22449/#:~:text=Addressed%20an%20issue%20where%20the%20Pinyin%20IME%20would%20crash%20and%20get%20stuck%20in%20a%20broken%20state%20that%20could%20result%20in%20no%20longer%20being%20able%20to%20type%20anything. was claimed to have been fixed in build 22449 which pushed into Dev channel on Sep 2nd.
