How do I screen record on mac with audio?
- Feb 20, 2025
Yes, mac’s built-in recorder can’t capture system sound, which is a pain. I use aisessoft screen recorder—it records screen, system audio, and mic together without any hassle!

Worth a try!
QuickTime Player cannot capture internal audio on a MacBook directly. If you enjoy exploring, you can install a virtual audio driver like Blackhole to help capture computer audio.
Also, some macOS devices, such as the MacBook Pro or Air, can create an aggregate device in the Audio MIDI Setup app to record system audio and microphone simultaneously. However, in my experience, the recorded system audio is very low, even when the system audio is played loudly during recording. It meets the most basic needs.
After trying various methods, I found that one of the the simplest ways is to use a reliable recorder like ease us Mac Screen Recorder. It doesn't require complicated setup; it's basically ready to use immediately after downloading, easily capturing system audio and microphone audio. It offers multiple recording modes: screen+audio, audio only, webcam, etc.
Step 1. Install this app on your Mac from the App Store.
Step 2. Enable it and choose the recording mode, such as full screen or region. Click the System and Microphone icon to enable.
Step 3. Hit the REC button to start recording.
