How do I completely Uninstall League of Legends on my pc?
So I tried removing League of Legends from my PC, but it doesn't seem completely gone. I used the normal uninstall option, yet I still notice leftover files and folders. Not sure if I missed a step or if Riot’s client just leaves things behind.
The goal is a clean uninstall — no leftover data, no background services, nothing. Also a bit confused about whether the Riot Client needs to be removed separately or not.
What's the proper way to completely uninstall League of Legends without anything left behind? Running Windows 11 on a custom desktop build.

An app uninstaller is a specialized program designed to remove software from your PC more thoroughly than the default Windows uninstall feature. Instead of just deleting the main program, it scans for leftover files, hidden folders, registry entries, and background services that regular uninstallers often miss.
It is especially useful for removing stubborn games and apps that refuse to uninstall normally or leave behind broken components. These tools can force uninstall programs, detect remnants after removal, and clean up invalid registry entries that might cause errors or slow down your system. This makes them ideal when you encounter apps that are “stuck” or partially uninstalled.
Using an app uninstaller is a safer and more efficient way to completely Uninstall League of Legends on my pc compared to manual deletion. It reduces the risk of deleting the wrong files and saves time by automating the cleanup process. Overall, it helps keep your system organized, frees up disk space, and prevents conflicts when reinstalling software.

Uninstall via Settings (Basic Way).
This is the easiest and quickest way to completely uninstall League of Legends using built-in Windows tools. It works well for most users who just want to remove the game without dealing with advanced steps. However, keep in mind that this method mainly removes the main program and may leave behind some leftover files.
- Press Win + I to open Settings
- Go to Apps > Installed Apps (or Apps & Features)
- Find League of Legends in the list
- Click it and select Uninstall
- Repeat the same steps to remove Riot Client and Riot Vanguard (if present)
- Restart your PC to complete the process
Using Windows Settings is the fastest way to delete League of Legends on pc and requires no extra software. It’s suitable for basic removal, but it may leave residual files or registry entries behind, so it’s not ideal if you want a completely clean uninstall.
