How can I unlock iPhone without password as I forgot my iphone passcode?
1. If you have a recent iTunes or Finder backup that’s not encrypted (or you know the backup password), you can restore your iPhone without losing data. This method requires a computer.
Steps:
- Connect your iPhone to a computer with the latest version of iTunes (Windows) or Finder (Mac).
- Put your iPhone into recovery mode:
- iPhone 8 or later: Press and release Volume Up, then Volume Down, then hold the Side button until the recovery mode screen appears.
- iPhone 7/7 Plus: Hold the Side and Volume Down buttons until recovery mode appears.
- iPhone 6s or earlier: Hold the Home and Top/Side buttons until recovery mode appears.
- In iTunes/Finder, select your iPhone and choose “Restore Backup.”
- Select the most recent backup and restore it. If the backup is encrypted, you’ll need the backup password.
Note: This method preserves data only if you have an unencrypted backup or know the backup password. If the backup is encrypted and you don’t know the password, this won’t work.
2. If you have Find My iPhone enabled and know your iCloud credentials, you can erase your iPhone remotely, which removes the passcode but also wipes all data. You can later restore from an iCloud or iTunes backup if available.
Steps:
- Go to iCloud.com on another device and sign in with your Apple ID.
- Select “Find iPhone” and click “All Devices.”
- Choose your iPhone from the list.
- Click “Erase iPhone” to wipe the device, including the passcode.
- Set up your iPhone as new or restore from a backup.
Note: This method erases all data. If you don’t have a backup, you’ll lose everything. If the above methods don’t work or you want a simpler solution, a professional tool like AnyUnlock.
