How can I trick a program into believing that it is running on Windows 10?

- Right-click the executable → Properties → Compatibility tab
- Click "Run compatibility troubleshooter"
- Try different Windows versions in the wizard
- Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows 8 or Windows 7
