How can I look at Windows NDIS traces or logs?

I have looked around and can't find anything that works. I've tried the kernel debug session with WindDbg against a Windows VM, setting the prescribed registry settings on the target. But no traces show up. Can anyone help with this? I am stuck on a project because of this one stupid thing.
