How to free download a video from a tweet? This was a method that I once used. It is a more technical method that uses your browser's built-in tools. It doesn't require any external websites or software. Can be intimidating for non-technical users; requires a few precise steps.

1. Open the Tweet: Go to the tweet's page on twitter.com.
2. Open Developer Tools: Press F12 on your keyboard, or right-click on the page and select Inspect.
3. Go to the Network Tab: Inside the Developer Tools window, click on the "Network" tab.
4. Refresh and Filter: Press F5 to refresh the page. Then, in the "Filter" box, type mp4 or video.
5. Find and Play the Video: Start playing the video in the tweet. As it plays, you will see a new file appear in the Network tab list.
6. Download the Video: Right-click on that file and select "Open in new tab". The video will open in a new tab. You can then right-click on the video and select "Save video as..." to download it.
