How Can I Downgrade iOS 18 to iOS 17 on a Windows PC?
When it comes to downgrade iOS 18 to 17. I’ve tinkered with downgrading a few times. Usually, it works fine if you follow the steps carefully — download the right IPSW file, put your device into DFU mode, and use a trusted tool. But sometimes, updates or security measures block older firmware, or Apple stops signing them, so you can’t install the older version anymore.
One time, I tried to downgrade an iPhone from a beta to a stable release, and it took a few tries. Luckily, I had a backup, so I could restore my data after. But I’ve also seen people get stuck with a device that won’t boot or gets stuck in recovery mode.
Yeah, it’s potentially risky when you downgrading iOS 18 to 17, but if you’re cautious, follow good guides, and have a backup, you can usually pull it off without issues. Just don’t do it on a critical device or without knowing what you’re doing — it’s kind of a “know your risks” game.
