Paint isn't really designed for heavy-duty image processing, and while it can convert files, it can be a bit slow, especially with large batches. If you're going to batch convert HEIC to JPG, you might find it takes a while to process them all, which can be a drag if you're in a hurry.
While Paint does a decent job, it can sometimes compress images more than you'd like. JPG is a lossy format, meaning every time you save as JPG, there's a chance of losing some quality compared to the original HEIC. If you’re super picky about image quality (like if you’re a photographer or just someone who really loves their pics), you might notice some degradation in details, especially if you’re converting files with a lot of intricate colors or shadows.
