High RAM consumption without correlation to processes displayed in Task Manager.

Content re-write with big changes:

Is there a tool available to identify processes causing high RAM usage or unorthodox auditing issues? The system is experiencing abnormal behavior with RAM utilization, potentially due to certain processes consuming excessive memory.

Image list\description:

2023-11-18_174513_RAM_high_usage.png -- Despite summing up the RAM usage column showing only 79%, it was previously higher at 85%. After closing resource-heavy applications like Swann and VMS, the usage dropped slightly.

2023-11-18_175225_Post_Reboot_Ram_Usage.png -- Following a reboot and relaunching Swann and VMS, RAM usage is back to expected levels. Under normal conditions, regular operations should peak at around 45% with the potential to hit 60%.

This system runs on Windows 11 Home with 16GB RAM, all drivers are up-to-date from the OEM. The focus is on stability without using third-party drivers or relying heavily on Windows Update. The current setup, initiated on 20231028, has been the most stable. Updates are only considered if they are proven to address existing issues.

In the past 36 hours, an unusual spike in RAM usage has been observed, excluding known memory-leaking apps. Any potential issues related to these apps would manifest in hanging, freezing, or crashing before Task Manager reflects 79% memory usage system-wide.

Kindly advise if further clarification or details are needed.

Respectfully,

Currently exploring Sysinternals for solutions.
