Floating performance window. How to close or move it?

In past week a floating transparent window has arrived on my desktop , giving real-time information on my PC hardware

I do not know what program is generating it ... there seems no option to close or move it.

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager. Look under the Processes tab for applications that might relate to hardware monitoring. Common ones include MSI Afterburner, HWInfo, etc.

To start solving the mystery, let's identify the likely culprit. There are many programs that provide real-time monitoring of PC hardware, like AIDA64, GPU-Z, or HWiNFO. Sometimes, it can also be a feature enabled by a software you've installed, or even a driver update.

Did you check in the Task Manager startup apps ? You might be able to identify and disable it from there.
