Excel file was damaged. How to repair an excel file?
To use the "Restore Previous Version" feature to help repair Excel file on your Windows PC.
How to Use Restore Previous Version to Repair Excel File:
1. Locate the Excel file:
Find the file you want to repair in File Explorer.
2. Right-click on the file:
Select Properties from the context menu.
3. Access Previous Versions tab:
In the Properties window, click on the Previous Versions tab.
Windows will display a list of available previous versions of the file, based on restore points or File History backups.
4. Select a version:
Choose the most recent previous version that you believe is intact.
5. Restore or open:
You can click Restore to replace the current file with the previous version.
Alternatively, click Open to view the previous version before restoring, to ensure it contains the data you need.
6. Save the repaired Excel file:
If you open the previous version, save it with a new name to keep a backup, thus effectively repairing the Excel file.
