Error 0x8007000D means Windows received invalid update data, but your successful DISM and SFC runs make the later 0x8007042B rollback more useful. Microsoft associates 0x8007042B with Setup being terminated by a background process. Back up the PC, uninstall third-party antivirus, VPN, tuning, disk-filter, or encryption utilities, disconnect nonessential hardware, update storage and chipset drivers, and perform a clean boot. Retry from an official Microsoft Insider ISO that matches the installed edition, language, architecture, and channel; do not use a UUP Dump image for the controlled test. After any rollback, run SetupDiag immediately and preserve setupact.log and setuperr.log from the Panther folders. Use the final SetupDiag rule and named executable or driver to decide what to remove or update. If clean boot produces the same migration failure, submit those logs through Feedback Hub and wait for a newer flight instead of repeatedly resetting Windows Update.
