The window resizing issue appears to be specific to Pop!_OS 24.04 with COSMIC. Multiple users have reported that dynamic window resizing simply doesn't work in Pop!_OS 24.04, even when it works perfectly in Pop!_OS 22.04 and other distros on the same hardware .
