Easiest way to do a Vista and Windows computer dual boot
I've repaired a laptop for a friend, but he wants to keep Vista on his hard drive, but I want to transfer that over to an SSD and install Windows 10 as dual boot. This way he can keep Vista (sentimental reasons) and actually be able to use the laptop at the same time because Vista is, as you know, dead and unsupported.

Use a cloning tool (like Macrium Reflect, Clonezilla, or Acronis True Image) to clone the current Vista partition(s) to the SSD. Make sure the SSD is connected via SATA or USB (if using an adapter). Clone the Vista partition(s) to the SSD, preserving the data.
