Duplicate user folders, one with local and one with Windows username; only local one in Users folder
I am forced to sign in with my Microsoft username rather than my local username (admin authority). My only folder in my Users Folder is one with my local user name. That isn’t so much the problem as this:
A real folder (not shortcut) with my Microsoft username with contents that are duplicates of the ones in the folder with my local username has been created on the desktop, even though a folder with my Microsoft username does not exist in my Users folder. The one with the Microsoft username (on my desktop) is kept by the system identical (except for title) to the one with my local username (in the Users folder).
How do I get rid of the folder with my Microsoft username without deleting the duplicate one with my local username?
Disable sync in Settings > Accounts, check the folder's path in Properties > Location, and restore or redirect it to your local user folder to safely remove the duplicate.

To delete the folder, follow these steps:
- Right-click on the folder and select Delete.
- If prompted to confirm, select Yes.
- If you're prompted to move files to the Recycle Bin, select Yes or No, depending on your preference.
