[Dev Channel] Process vmmem has been chewing up CPU for hours

Greetings,

My laptop fan has been working overtime today.   I don't know what's up with vmmem today (not had this issue before), but it's chewing up CPU.
I rebooted and the problem persists.  I've not run WSL or Hyper-V today.  I've started no virtual machines, but vmmem is going crazy.
Any idea how I can make it stop?
