Desktop icons disappeared after updating to Windows 11.
After updating to windows 11 most of the desktop icons disappeared only few left. What should I do now to get my all desktop icons back.

Please restore the file icons in file explorer in settings. desktop
You need to do this manually there is no way to automatically restore.

- Why is this normal? It didn't happen with Windows 10?
Deleted the icons should not have disappeared in the first place. Fix Windows 11.
- I tried. I cleared icon cache through command window and i run explorer.exe. but it didn't worked
Perhaps Win11 has removed it!
But strange that from the explorer - you can not create a shortcut to the desktop?
in the context you have (send to) > the desktop - these are desktop shortcuts.
