CrossDeviceResume has reappeared after the Insider Preview update KB5089573

When I go to the Windows Insider Program tab in Windows Settings, a yellow warning icon appears at the top: “Your device is set to receive Insider Preview builds. To change your Insider tier, make sure your Microsoft account is enrolled in the Insider Program and linked on this page.”

The problem is that I’m already enrolled in the Insider Program, I’m currently running that version, and my account is linked in Settings. Is this a bug in the current version?

  • Hi, if the same Microsoft account is visibly linked and the PC is already receiving Insider builds, this looks like an account-state warning introduced by the build rather than a real enrollment failure. Confirm Optional diagnostic data is enabled, then remove and re-link the Insider account once and restart. Also check that Settings and the Insider website use the same account and tenant. If the warning returns but updates still work, capture it in Feedback Hub under Windows Update > Windows Insider Program and attach the Settings diagnostics. I would avoid registry edits because they can leave the channel state inconsistent.
