Clip.grab not working - is there any alternative to clip.grab
Hello everyone, I want to ask, has anyone had problems with Clip.Grab when downloading videos recently? My problem is clip.grab not working. Every time I paste a link, it gets stuck and doesn't respond to downloads. Reinstalling the software doesn't work. It feels like it's completely broken 😂
I mainly use it to download some tutorial videos from YouTube. Now it suddenly doesn't work, which really affects my efficiency. I want to ask if anyone has a good alternative to Clip.Grab? It's best to have one that supports high-definition video downloads, is easy to operate, and can customize the output format. It shouldn't be too complicated, but it should be able to download stably.
Could you please recommend a few tools that are still usable or alternatives that you are using? Thank you~

If Clip.Grab not working, it can be a real bummer, especially if you're used to its simplicity for downloading videos. I've found that yt-1lp is a solid backup. Sure, it may not have the shiny interface, but it’s stable and efficient once you get the hang of it. Plus, there’s a certain satisfaction in using the command line like a pro. You get more control over your downloads and some extra features that might surprise you.

Recently, clip.grab is not working. I also encountered the same problem. After opening it, I pasted the link but it didn't work. It was a waste of time. Later, I used the command line to download the video directly. It was stable and efficient, and it was a perfect alternative, which is my current alternative to clip.grab.
The recommended tool is yt--dlp (note that it is the version with two hyphens, not the official one, but it can also be used).
The command line operation steps are as follows:
Open this address to download yt--dlp.exe (can be found on GitHub or third-party mirrors):
👉 After downloading, rename it to yt--dlp.exe and put it on the desktop or in a folder.Open the command prompt (CMD) and enter the path where you store yt--dlp.exe, for example:
bash cd Desktop
Execute the command to download the video, for example:arduino yt--dlp.exe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxxxx
It will automatically grab the high-definition version of the video and audio, and directly merge and download and save it.It's really annoying when clip.grab is not working, especially when I'm in a hurry. Now I use yt--dlp as my alternative to clip.grab, which supports many platforms, many formats, and simple commands. I recommend everyone to try it~

Clip.Grab not working -What is the best Clip.Grab alternatives? aTube Catcher can definitely be a solid alternative to Clip.Grab if it’s acting up on you! I’ve found it to be quite handy for downloading videos from various sites, and it has a few extra goodies that make it worth checking out.
Why aTube Catcher?
- Multiple Formats: As the best Clip.Grab alternatives. aTube Catcher lets you download videos in various formats, which is awesome if you need something specific like MP4, AVI, or even just audio in MP3. Super flexible!
- Screen Recording: If you ever need to capture something that's not available for direct download, aTube Catcher has a screen recording feature. You can record anything happening on your screen, which is pretty cool for tutorials and gameplay.
- Batch Downloading: Got a playlist you want to download? No problem! aTube Catcher can handle multiple downloads at once, so you don’t have to sit around clicking “download” a hundred times.
- User-Friendly Interface: It’s pretty straightforward, which makes it easy for anyone to pick up and start using. Just copy the video link, paste it into the app, choose your settings, and you're good to go.

I have also encountered the situation of clip.grab not working before, which is really annoying. Later, I simply stopped relying on this thing and shared two ways with you without third-party tools:
The first is to use the browser's developer tools, such as Chrome, open the video page you want to download, press F12 → click Network → Play Video → find the .mp4 or .m4a file, right-click to copy the link, and open and save it directly in a new tab. This is much better than clip.grab not working stuck there.
The second is to use VLLC player (the system's built-in one is also fine) → open network streaming → paste the video link → then "convert/save" to the format you want. Although the operation is more troublesome than alternative to clip.grab, at least you don't need to install anything extra.
If you are also looking for alternative to clip.grab, and don't want to install a bunch of messy software, you can try these two methods first, which are enough and not troublesome~

For iPhone users, you can use Documents by Readdle as Clip.grab alternative for downloading videos.
It is essentially a feature-rich file manager that can handle various types of files, including videos, in addition to basic file browsing, editing and sharing operations. Users can easily categorize and manage downloaded videos, organizing them into different folders that are easy to find and use.
Documents by Readdle usually has a simple and intuitive user interface. The main interface has a clear layout, making it easy for users to quickly find the search bar, download list, settings and other functional buttons. During the video download process, the interface also displays key information such as download progress, speed, etc., so that users are always aware of the download status.
Users can choose different download settings according to their needs. For example, they are able to adjust the download quality of the video, and select different picture quality such as HD, SD, etc. to download according to their network condition and storage space, in order to achieve the best download experience and storage efficiency.
As far as I know, there is a great choice when Clip.grab not working. You can test it on iPhone or iPad.

I has been months that Clip.grab is not working. The developer no longer updates the app. If you are looking for a good Clip.grab alternative, then Sanptube is a quite good choice.
Videos can be downloaded from several popular video sharing platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and more. This enables users to easily access interesting videos found on different platforms, whether for personal favorites, offline viewing or other legal purposes.
It also supports downloading of many common video formats such as MP4. This multi-format support ensures that the downloaded videos can be played on a variety of devices without the need for additional format conversion tools for the convenience of the users.
In addition, Snaptube provides different video quality options for users to choose from. For example, users can choose to download videos in different qualities such as High Definition (HD), Standard Definition (SD), etc., depending on their cell phone's storage space and network conditions. An audio-only download option may also be available for users who only need music or sound content in their videos.
A built-in search function makes it easy for users to search for the video they want to download directly from within the app. This eliminates the need for users to switch to other platforms for searching, saving time and steps.
Work for offline downloads. This means that users can pre-download videos when they have a Wi-Fi connection and then watch them when mobile data networks are unavailable or when they want to save traffic.
