Can't update the build 16288.1 (rs3-release)
When update the new build 16288, I get the notice "An update is being prepared for your device, but it's not quite ready yet. We'll keep trying or you can try again now" (with error 0x80240034)

Same here: first 0x80240034, now 0x80070714. Language English(UK)
- Bjorn GronnerCopper ContributorStill failing to update to 16288.1, first 0x80240034 (Sep. 13) and twice 0x80070714 (Sep. 14 and 15). No error messages, update just cancels after reaching about 7-10 % and computer resets and restores old build (16281). Update is now redownloading again via WU.

Take your time with this build.
This was the worst, least stable (i.e. wouldn't boot and I had to roll it back) preview I've seen in 18 months. You didn't miss anything

You can try this, it works for me :
- Run Command Prompt as Administrator.
- Type the following command:
- DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /scanhealth
- DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Did that but didn't help
