Cannot update window from 24H2 to 25H2(update already available)
Hi.
I faced problem that i cannot update window to 25H2 it shows error "We couldn't install this update, but you can try again 0x800f0983" i already try multiple time in past few week but it still got the same error
Solution that already try(contact with Microsoft support)
- sfc /scannow -> no problem at all
- DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth -> no problem at all
- chkdsk /f /r -> no problem at all
- in place update (reinstall window) -> got this error 0x8007042B - 0x2000D - Installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA Operation
any idea how to solve the problem?

Being unable to update, I switched to Windows Insider Beta Canal, and the update to Version 10.0.26220 Build 26220 succeeded. I just do not know if I'll stay in Beta Canal or rollback to standard distribution when it'll be possible.
For me no error code 0x800f0983, but error 0x8007042B - 0x2000D - Installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA Operation.
I'm now trying to switch to windows insider beta, to try to jump over this failing update. I'll keep u posted here.
Make sure you disconnect external devices temporarily while upgrading.
Same error. Did you succeed in fixing this. Support tells me to do a clean install from the iso, but I would loose my apps.
