Can you download songs from spotify on my pc or mac?

As far as I know, SpotifyBee is one of the best desktop apps for doing this. The music will be saved as mp3 file and there is no problem for playing them on your PC or Mac.

Using screen recording to download songs from Spotify is technically possible.
- You can use free screen recording software (like OBS Studio, built-in Windows Game Bar, or macOS Screen Recording) to record what plays on your screen and microphone.
- Play the song on Spotify, start recording, and save the recording as an audio file.
How to Use Windows Game Bar to Record and download songs from Spotify:
- Launch Spotify and start playing the song you want to record.
- Press Win + G to open the Game Bar overlay.
- Make sure your system's audio output is set to "Stereo Mix" or "Wave Out" (if available).
- On some systems, you may need to enable "Stereo Mix":
Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar.
Choose Sounds > Recording tab.
Right-click Stereo Mix and select Enable.
Set it as default recording device. - In the Game Bar overlay, click the Record button (a circle) or press Win + Alt + R to start recording. And play your Spotify music.
- When done, press Win + Alt + R again or click the stop button in the Game Bar.
- Recordings are saved automatically in your Videos folder under Captures.
